Chinese Potato – Tender Coconut Ularth (Koorka – Karikk Ularth)
Ingredients for Chinese Potato – Tender Coconut Ularth (Koorka – Karikk Ularth):
1. Chinese potato (Koorka) – ½ kg
2. Tender coconut chopped – 1 cup
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Salt – For taste
Water – 1 cup
3. Red chillies – 4
Pepper – 1 small spoon
Shallots – ¼ cup
Garlic – 1 big spoon
4. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons
5. Curry leaves – 2 stems
How to prepare Chinese Potato – Tender Coconut Ularth (Koorkka – Karikk Ularth)?
1. Clean Chinese potato, and cut lengthwise.
2. Cook them, adding ingredients no: 2. Water should be completely absorbed.
3. Crush ingredients no: 3 together.
4. Heat oil in a pan.
5. Sauté curry leaves and crushed masala together.
6. Add cooked Chinese potato to it, and mix well.
7. Cook in low flame, and stir occasionally till it’s fully dried up.
