My Child, For You

My child, I reserve for you

The paths where my footsteps are not printed

My child, I am humming for you

The tunes untouched by my hot breathes

The lullabies I sing for you

None of them own the tunes of my mind

The dream playhouse I built for you

I keep clean away from my blood stains

The smile you gift me every moment

I can’t blossom and give back as spring

Yet you heal me through your baby talk

And make me remember my duties always

What else can I give you in return?

This heart which beats for you only always

Though it’s tangled in millions of puzzles unsolved
