Mutton Puffs recipe

Ingredients for Mutton Puffs:

1. Mutton Keema – 200 gm

2. Oil – 3 big spoons

3. Onions – 3, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 3, chopped fine

4. Chilli powder – 2 big spoons

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

    Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

5. Coriander leaves – A handful, chopped

6. Maida – ¼ kg

    Salt and water – As required

How to prepare Mutton Puffs?

1. Cook mutton keema, adding sufficient water and salt, and keep it aside.

2. Heat oil and sauté onions and green chillies.

3. Add ingredients no: 4 and continue sauting.

4. Add chopped coriander leaves and mutton keema and mix the contents. Turn off the flame.

5. Add salt and water to the maida and knead the dough.

6. Make small balls from the dough and spread them into thin square pieces.

7. Place a little filling at the centre and fold from opposite sides first.

8. Fold the other two sides also to get a perfect square shape.

9. Heat a pan and put these puffs into it.

10. Cook both sides till they are well fried. Pour a little oil on both sides.

Note: You can also shallow fry or bake mutton puffs. You can coat puffs with a thin layer of beaten eggs before baking them. If so they will get a pleasant smell and fine texture.
