Manohara

 

Manohara is a traditional Udupi dessert, served with meals.

Ingredients for Manohara:

1. Maida – 2 cups

2. Ghee – 2 cups

3. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup

4. Sugar powdered – 1 cup

How to prepare Manohara?

1. Add water to maida and knead the dough similar to Puri.

2. Make small balls from this dough and spread them to thin puris.

3. Heat ghee and deep fry the puris till they turn crispy.

4. Smash the pooris using hands and fry again till they turn golden brown.

5. Add coconut and sugar, mix well and serve.
