Kadala Paripp – Cheera Thakkali Curry recipe

Ingredients for Kadala Paripp – Cheera Thakkali Curry (Bengal Gram – Spinach Tomato Curry):

1. Bengal gram (Kadala paripp)- 1 cup

2. Oil – 2 big spoons

3. Curry powder – 2 small spoons

    Salt – For taste

4. Tomato paste – 400 gm

5. Coconut milk – 400 gm

6. Lemon juice – As needed

7. Spinach – A handful, chopped

How to prepare Kadala Paripp – Cheera Thakkali Curry (Bengal Gram – Spinach Tomato Curry)?

1. Cook Bengal gram and strain excess water.

2. Heat oil and sauté cooked gram along with ingredients no: 3.

3. Add tomato paste and sauté well.

4. Add coconut milk, followed by lemon juice, and keep stirring.

5. Bring the curry to a boil and add spinach.

6. Boil it well and turn off the flame.

7. Serve hot with chapati or rice.
