When we are stubborn on using sweetness for our dishes, very often artificial materials used for adding sweetness is used as the best substitute. Artificial sugar such as Aspartame, Sucralose and Saccharine –act the role of ‘sweeties’ in reality, do the job of a villain.

What are artificial sweeteners? They are good substitutes of sugar and provide sweetness to dishes. Except for sweetness, they have no nutritional value. Also, if you use them for a long time, it may end up in nervous disorders and cancer of body parts related to digestion.

Artificial sweeteners with a high quantity of mannitol and sorbitol can cause diarrhoea. Artificial sweeteners may cause allergic problems in certain people. Pregnant ladies and breastfeeding mothers should avoid artificial sweeteners completely. For the rest, too, it’s always the best choice to use them in a controlled way.

It’s always a healthy choice to make sweet dishes at home using sugar or jaggery to add sweetness rather than buying high-calorie and extra saccharine-added bakery products from outside. While making homely dishes, please avoid artificial colours. Also, use sugar in a controlled way for your better health and a better tomorrow.
