Gooseberry Curry recipe

Ingredients for Gooseberry Curry:

1. Shallots – 50 gm

2. Water – As needed

3. Oil – A little

4. Mustard – A pinch

5. Fenugreek – A pinch

    Red chillies chopped fine – ½ small spoon

    Ginger chopped fine – 1 small spoon

    Green chillies chopped fine – 1 small spoon

    Curry leaves – 1 stem

    Garlic chopped fine – 1 small spoon

    Onions chopped fine – 2 big spoons

6. Gooseberry – 200 gm

7. Fatless milk – 20 milli

8. Curd – A little

How to prepare Gooseberry Curry?

1. Cook shallots, adding water till it’s almost blended. Water should be completely absorbed.

2. Make a fine paste of cooked shallots.

3. Heat oil and sputter mustard seeds.

4. Add ingredients no: 5 and sauté well.

5. Add water, salt, and gooseberries, and cook till it’s done.

6. Add shallot paste and boil your curry.

7. When the curry thickens, add milk and boil well.

8. Turn off the flame.

9. Add curd and serve your gooseberry curry.

10. You can serve it with rice or Ivy Gourd Leaf – Cauliflower Steamcake.
