Ingredients for Fried Masala Chicken Curry in Chettinad Style:
- Red chillies – 15 gm
Coriander seeds – 2 small spoons
Coconut grated – 100 gm
Cumin seeds – 2 small spoons
Shallots – 25 gm - Coconut oil – 1 big spoon
- Cinnamon, cloves and cardamom – 2 small spoons combined
Fennel seeds – 2 small spoons - Onions – 100 gm, chopped fine
Curry leaves – 5 stems - Ginger-garlic paste – 4 small spoons
Tomato puree – 5 big spoons - Boneless chicken cut into small pieces – ½ kg
Salt – To taste - Coriander leaves – To decorate
How to prepare Fried Masala Chicken Curry in Chettinad Style?
- Roast ingredients no: 1 without adding oil, and make a fine paste by adding sufficient water.
- Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3.
- Add onions and curry leaves and sauté again.
- When onions turn golden brown, add ingredients no: 5 and ground masala paste and sauté again.
- Add boneless chicken pieces and salt, mix well and cook till it’s done.
- Add coriander leaves to decorate your dish in the final stage before you serve it hot.
