Fenugreek for hair beauty – Some easy homemade hair packs for you

Fenugreek is used in every kitchen. Apart from many health benefits, fenugreek also owns many beauty benefits. If you use fenugreek hair mask frequently, it can get rid of many problems related to hair, including hair loss and promotes thick hair.

Here are a few hair masks using fenugreek. You can try anyone at least once in a week to get better results. Also read other health benefits of fenugreek

Homemade hair packs using fenugreek

1. Soak fenugreek seeds in rice boiled water (rice starch) overnight. Next day make a paste using mixer and apply on scalp. Wash off after 20 or 30 minutes. You can use green gram flour as herbal shampoo. This pack gets best result when rice boiled water/rice starch is 1-day old. It helps hair to grow healthy.  

2. Soak a handful of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Make a fine paste of fenugreek adding same water. Add a big spoon of coconut oil to it and apply on scalp. After half hour, wash it off using hibiscus leaves crushed/paste (thali). If you use this mask twice a week, it reduces hair loss. The remaining water which was used to soak fenugreek, you can fill in a spray bottle and use as hair spray after hair bath.

3. Soak four big spoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Make a fine paste next day, adding half portion of Kerala banana (ethapazham). Add a big spoon of honey to it and mix well. Apply on scalp and wash it off after half an hour. It turns dry and rough hair to smooth & beautiful.

4. Soak a handful of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Make a fine paste of fenugreek adding same water. Add 2 big spoons of curd, 1 small spoon of castor oil and 1 big spoon of aloe vera flesh (take inner portion only). Apply this paste on scalp and massage for 2 minutes. After half hour, wash it off. If you do it regularly, your hair will grow strong.

5. In 3 big spoons of fenugreek paste, add 2 big spoons of curd and 1 big spoon of lemon juice. Apply in the scalp and wash it off using natural shampoo (thaali) after half an hour. It’s a good treatment for dandruff. Do it twice a week.

6. Soak half cup fenugreek in water overnight and grind it next day. Add egg yellow yolk to it and apply in scalp and hair roots. After half an hour use some natural shampoo (thaali) to clean it off. Your hair will grow strong.

7. Take fenugreek and sesame seeds in equal quantity and place under direct sun for 1 hour. Then make a fine powder. Take a little powder from it, when you want and add lukewarm water to it. Use it as hair pack and wash it off after half an hour.

8. Soak 2 big spoons of fenugreek and make a fine paste. Add 1 big spoon of curd to it and apply as hair pack. It’s a remedy to dandruff.

9. Apply the flesh of aloe vera on scalp, and massage well. Then apply fenugreek paste (soaked overnight & made a paste). Dip and squeeze a towel in hot water and wrap it on hair. After 15 minutes, you can wash hair. It reduces itching and dandruff.

A few more hair packs

1. Make a fine paste of curry leaves adding rice starch. Apply on scalp and wash it after some time. It gives a thick feel to hair, and also promotes hair growth.

2. An easy method for hair growth and to get rid of dandruff – Add one camphor and juice from 1 lemon to 4 big spoons of olive oil. Apply it on scalp. Dip and squeeze a towel in hot water and wrap it on hair. After 30 minutes, apply an egg white. You can wash hair after 30 minutes. (Total 1 hour).

3. Make a fine paste of a handful of shallots. Apply it on scalp and after 30 minutes, wash your hair using 4 hibiscus flowers (use countryside flowers with 5 petals). It reduces hair fall and improves the strength of hair.
