
Ingredients for Eggplant – Wheat Upma (Vazhuthananga – Gothamb Upmaav):
- Broken wheat – 100 gm
- Salt – For taste
Water – As required - Coconut oil – 1 small spoon
- Mustard – 1 small spoon
- Chopped onions – 2 big spoons
Chopped ginger – 1 small spoon
Chopped green chillies – 1 small spoon
Curry leaves – 1 stem - Eggplant chopped fine – 100 gm
Tomato chopped fine – 50 gm
Cauliflower chopped fine – 50 gm
Broccoli chopped fine – 50 gm
How to prepare Eggplant – Wheat Upma (Vazhuthananga – Gothamb Upmaav)?
- Cook broken wheat, adding salt and water. Strain excess water.
- Heat oil in a pan and sputter mustard seeds.
- Sauté ingredients no:5.
- Add ingredients no: 6 and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add cooked broken wheat to it and stir the contents.
- When it’s done, turn off the flame.
- Serve hot with peanut curry.
