Duck Piralan recipe

Ingredients for Duck Piralan (Tharavu Piralan):

  1. Duck – 1
  2. Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
    Coriander powder – 2 small spoons
    Chilli powder – 3 small spoons
    Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon
    Salt – For taste
  3. Coconut oil – As required
  4. Mustard – ½ small spoon
    Cumin – 1/4 small spoon
    Curry leaves – 3 stalks
  5. Ginger chopped lengthwise – 1 big spoon
    Garlic – 1 full, chopped
    Shallots – ¼ kg
    Green chillies – 2, chopped
  6. Pepper crushed – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Duck Piralan (Tharavu Piralan)?

  1. Mix duck pieces with ingredients no: 2 and cook them using a pressure cooker.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry ingredients no: 4.
  3. Add ingredients no: 5 and sauté the contents well.
  4. Add cooked duck along with gravy, and boil the contents until the water content is fully absorbed.
  5. Finally, add crushed black pepper, mix it well and turn off the flame.
