Chilled Peas Soup

 

Ingredients for Chilled Peas Soup:

1. Green peas after removing skin – 150 gm
2. Potato pieces – 225 gm
3. Onions chopped – 1
4. Mint leaf – 1 big stalk
5. Lemon Skin – Half
6. Lemon juice – 2 big spoons
7. Chicken stock – 900 milli
8. Salt and pepper – As required
9. Puthina leaf – to decorate

How to prepare Chilled Peas Soup?

1. Take green peas and other ingredients in a saucepan.
2. Cook on a medium flame for 20 minutes till peas are fully cooked.
3. Grind the contents well in a mixer, and allow it to cool.
4. Check if salt and pepper are added as required.
5. Place it in the fridge for two to three hours. Decorate with pudina leaves and serve chilled.
 
N.B: You can also use chilled green peas for this preparation. It takes less time to cook. So add green peas only after 5-10 minutes, when the other vegetables are cooked.
