Beetroot Pickle recipe

 

Ingredients for Beetroot Pickle:

  1. Beetroot – 250 gm
  2. Coconut oil – 200 gm
  3. Mustard – 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaves – 2 stems
  5. Green chillies, finely chopped – 1 tsp
  6. Garlic, finely chopped – 1 tsp
  7. Chilli powder -3 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  9. Vinegar – ½ cup
  10. Salt – as needed

How to prepare Beetroot Pickle?

  1. Grate beetroot
  2. Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
  3. Sauté green chillies, garlic and curry leaves.
  4. Add grated beetroot and cook well.
  5. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder and cook till its odour changes.
  6. Add vinegar and turn the flame off.
