Mutton Kofta Kuruma recipe

Ingredients for Mutton Kofta Kuruma:

1. Mutton – ½ kg

    Salt – As required

2. Ghee and oil – As required

3. Onion – 2, chopped

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

4. Cloves – 5

    Cardamom – 5

    Cinnamon – 4-inch piece

5. Ginger and garlic paste – 2 small spoons each

    Chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Coriander powder – 2 small spoons

6. Bread – 1 slice

    Egg – 1

7. Curd – ¼ cup

    Green chillies – 6-7, end split

8. Coconut milk – ½ cup

9. Coconut grated – ¼ cup

    Cashews – 12

10. Tomato – 12

How to prepare Mutton Kofta Kuruma?

1. Cook mutton and prepare minced meat. Keep the remaining mutton stock aside.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 9.

3. Heat ghee and oil, and sauté turmeric powder and onions.

4. When onions turn brown, add ingredients no: 4 and sauté again, followed by ingredients no: 5.

5. Transfer two small spoons of this gravy to a bowl.

6. Add a bread slice, egg and salt and mix well.

7. Add this mixture to the minced meat and make small balls.

8. Deep fry them in hot oil to prepare koftas.

9. In the remaining gravy, add mutton stock followed by curd and green chillies.

10. If needed, add extra salt also, and allow the contents to boil.

11. Add coconut milk and coconut-cashew paste, and mix the contents well.

12. Cut each tomato into 4 pieces and add to the gravy.

13. When the contents boil well, turn off the flame.

14. Add fried koftas and serve. If needed, you can add a little lime juice.
