Beef Chilli in Kerala style

 
 

Ingredients for Beef Chilli:

  1. Beef – 1 kg
  2. Coconut oil – 2 table spoon
  3. Green chillies split into 2– 20
  4. Soya sauce – 1 table spoon
  5. Orange-red colour – 1 pinch
  6. Chilli sauce – 2 table spoon
  7. Curry leaves – 2 stem
  8. Pepper powder – 2 tsp
  9. Salt – as needed

How to prepare Beef Chilli in Kerala style?

  1. Clean beef and make it 4 square pieces. Using a pressure cooker, cook it well.
  2. Cut beef pieces to lengthy thin pieces.
  3. Heat coconut oil and sauté chilli pieces for a minute.
  4. Add beef pieces to it along with sauces and colour.
  5. Make it dry and add curry leaves.
  6. Heat another pan (uruli) in a stove or hearth. Put the flame off and add the meat, pepper powder and salt and stir continuously.
  7. Note: It can be done in two other methods as well. After heating uruli, you can sauté onions and add chicken and pepper powder.
  8. In second method, after adding pepper and meat, you can add 2 table spoon chilli sauce and 3 table spoon tomato sauce to get another Kerala-Chinese combination.
