Anju Kurian is a Malayalam film actress who started working in the industry in 2013. During her initial days, she worked with Nivin Pauley in a series of movies in supporting roles. She played Nivin’s sister role in her debut flick Neram and also Premam. She also played a brief role in Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. All three Nivin movies have been big hits at the box office. She bagged her first lead role through Kavi Uddheshichathu in 2016 and played Fahad Fasil’s love interest, Shruti, in Njan Prakasan.

Anju Kurian was born in Kottayam in 1993. She completed Architectural Engineering from Chennai. Then she did a fashion design course, and worked in the architecture field for a while before she got into movies. In 2013, she marked her debut with bilingual Neram directed by Alphonse Puthren. For the first three years, she played supporting roles. Kavi Uddheshichathu in 2016 gave her a breakthrough in the industry.
Chennai 2 Singapore marked her Tamil film debut in 2017, and Idam Jagat in the Telugu film industry in 2018, both in lead roles. Jeem Boom Ba, July Kaatril, Naan Seidha Kurumbu, Jack & Daniel, Shibu etc are some of her latest projects. She played the female lead in Dileep starrer Jack & Daniel.

1. She was camera-shy during her childhood days and the only photos left were clicked back in school. Dubsmash and musical.ly videos changed this attitude in her.
2. She was an architect and fashion designer before becoming an actress.

4. She played a brief role in the first two projects of budding directors – Alphonse Puthren, and the debut project of Jude Anthany Joseph. Interestingly, Neram, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana and Premam were her first three releases, all starring Nivin Pauley. These three movies proved lucky for both the directors and the lead actor.
5. She was casted as Nivin Pauley’s sister by Alphonse Puthren in Neram and Premam.
6. She played Vineeth Srinivasan’s love interest (who marries him at the climax) and Nazriya’s friend in Ohm Shanthi Oshaana.
7. She appeared in three Tamil music videos – Kure Kure, Classmates –Kadhalikuren and Neeye Neeye, all released in 2018.
8. She is a self-made person and uses her personally earned money to buy what she wants. She just makes notes of her favourite things, and purchases them when money comes in hand.
9. She is an entrepreneur who has recently started a food business in Chennai, where she lives now. Her kitchen supplies only diet food.
