Devika Sanjay – Malayalam actress of ‘Njan Prakashan’ fame
Devika Sanjay is a young actress of Malayalam cinema who made an impressive debut through ‘Njan Prakashan’. Her role as Tinamol, a dying patient was really touching and she stole everyone’s hearts with her innocent and realistic acting. Njan Prakashan was her debut flick, in which she played a teenager. The mature role of a rebellious girl battling a life-threatening ailment was a unique character not explored in Malayalam screen in the recent past.
Devika Sanjay hails from Koilandi, Kozhikode. She currently studies in Kendriya Vidyalaya. Singing and dancing are her favourite hobbies. She was introduced to Sathyan Anthikad by her teacher Renuka, when she came to know that the director was in search of a girl of her age. She received the role in Njan Prakashan through an audition by her acting skills only. Before that she impressed the crew through a short video which she shoot in her mother’s mobile. She played one among the three lead heroines of the movie, and shared screen space with Fahadh most of the time in the second half of the film. After the big success of the movie, she signed her first Telugu movie in 2019.

1. Her father is a software engineer and her mother is a civil police officer. She has one younger brother.
2. She was doing her 10th studies in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kozhikode when Njan Prakashan got released.
3. As she was doing 10th class, she rejected film offers of directors like Kamal and Nithin Renji Panicker.
4. She loves painting, and is also interested in interior designing.
5. She has filled the walls of her room with her own paintings.
6. During spare time of film Njan Prakashan’s shooting, she used to play shuttle with Fahadh, as shown in the film.
7. She has acted in a few stage plays at school. This is her only acting experience. She has been quite active in cultural events at school.
