Naadan Chicken recipe

Ingredients for Naadan Chicken:

  1. Chicken – 1 kg, cut into pieces
  2. Shallots – ¼ kg, cut into small pieces
    Cinnamon – 1-inch pieces, 3
    Cloves – 3
    Cardamom – 2
    Green chillies chopped – 3
    Chilli powder – 2 big spoons
    Coriander powder – 3 big spoons (in spoon level, not as a heap)
    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon
    Ginger -1 inch piece sliced thin
    Garlic – 1 small cluster chopped
    Curry leaves- 2 stalks
    Salt – As required
    Curd – 2 big spoons
    Coconut oil – 2 big spoons

How to prepare Naadan Chicken?

  1. Wash chicken using lemon juice or vinegar.
  2. Mix together ingredients no: 2 and marinate the chicken using it.
  3. Allow the marinated chicken to rest for half an hour.
  4. Take a thick-bottomed urli and transfer the chicken mixture to it.
  5.  Also, add 1 cup of boiled water to the urli and mix the contents well.
  6. Cook chicken on a low flame with the lid closed.
  7.  If you need extra gravy, you can add ½ cup boiling water.
  8. Serve hot.
