Tomato Rice in Chapati Roll

Ingredients for Tomato Rice in Chapati Roll:

1. Butter/Ghee – 3 big spoons

2. Onion – 1, chopped fine

    Garlic – 3 cloves, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 3, chopped fine

3. Tomato – 2, ground to a smooth paste

    Kashmiri chilli powder – ½ small spoon

    Cumin powder – ½ small spoon

    Salt – For taste

4. Basmati rice/Raw rice – ½ cup soaked

    Water – 1 cup

5. Wheat flour – 1 cup

    Salt and water – As needed

6. Tomato sauce – As needed

How to prepare Tomato Rice in Chapati Roll?

1. To prepare tomato rice, heat ghee/oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 2.

2. When onions turn crystal-like, add and sauté ingredients no: 3 for 5 minutes.

3. Add rice and water, and cook till water is fully absorbed. Rice should be well-cooked, too.

4. Prepare the dough for chapati from ingredients no: 5, adding sufficient water.

5. Make small balls from it and spread them into thin chapatis. Prepare chapatis.

6. Grease one side of chapatis with a little tomato sauce.

7. Place a little rice inside each of them and make rice rolls.
