Thoran for Kozhikode Sadya

Ingredients for Thoran for Kozhikode Sadya:

1. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon

2. Curry leaves – 2 stalks

    Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Gram daal – 1 small spoon

    Split urud daal (for tempering) – 1 small spoon

    Red chillies – 2, broken into pieces

3. Long beans (Achinga) washed and finely chopped – 2 cups

    Salt – As required

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

4. Coconut grated – ½ cup

    Green chillies – 4

How to prepare Thoran for Kozhikode Sadya?

1. Crush ingredients no: 4.

2. Heat oil in a urli and fry ingredients no: 2.

3. Add ingredients no: 3 to it, mix well, and cook in a low flame with the lid closed.

4. Sprinkle water if needed.

5. When long beans are cooked, add crushed green chillies and coconut and mix well.

6. Add a little coconut oil too.
