Stuffed Noolputtu

Ingredients for Stuffed Noolputtu:

1. Unripen jackfruit boiled, dried and powdered – ½ glass

    Jack seed boiled, dried and powdered – ½ glass

    Rice powder – ½ glass

    Salt – As required

2. Boiling water – To prepare batter

3. Boneless chicken – 250 gm

4. Ginger, garlic and green chillies crushed – 1 big spoon each

    Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – A pinch

5. Coconut oil – As required

6. Onions – 1, chopped fine

    Ginger, garlic and green chillies crushed – 1 big spoon each

7. Tomato – 1, chopped fine

    Garam masala powder – A pinch

    Coriander leaves and mint leaves – 1 big spoon each

    Pepper powder, coriander powder and chilli powder – 1 small spoon each

How to prepare Stuffed Noolputtu?

1. Transfer ingredients no: 1 to a big bowl and prepare batter for noolputtu adding boiling water.

2. The flour should be thick, enough to press in a sevanazhi (idiyappam maker).

3. Crush chicken and cook it well adding ingredients no: 4. Water content should be fully absorbed.

4. Crush it once again and keep aside.

5. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 6.

6. When it’s done, add ingredients no: 7 along with chicken.

7. Sauté it well and take off from flame. This mixture is used for stuffing.

8. Prepare noolputtu in a steamer or idli maker using sevanazhi, with stuffing inside.

9. Steam cook it and serve hot.
