Rajma Masala

Ingredients for Rajma Masala:

1. Rajma – 1 big cup

2. Oil – 3 big spoons

3. Onion – 1, chopped fine

    Bay leaf (Vayana Ila) – 1

    Cinnamon – 1 small piece

    Garlic – 2 cloves

4. Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

    Coriander powder – ½ small spoon

    Cumin powder – ½ small spoon

    Masala powder – ½ small spoon

5. Red chillies – 3, broken into 2 or 3 pieces

How to prepare Rajma Masala?

1. Soak rajma overnight and cook it well the following day.

2. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3.

3. When onions turn translucent, add the powders and mix well.

4. Add cooked rajma, and continue cooking till gravy turns thick.

5. Add red chillies, mix well and put the flame off.
