
Ingredients for Prawn Roast:
- Cleaned prawns – 200 gm
- Onions chopped fine – 100 gm
- Green chillies chopped fine – 2
- Garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Tomato – 2
- Fennel powder – 1 tsp
- Thick coconut milk – ½ cup
- Chilli powder – 3 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves – 2 tsp
- Refined oil – 4 tablespoons
- Salt – For taste
How to prepare Prawn Roast?
- Marinate prawns using 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp garlic paste, a little salt and turmeric powder.
- Allow it to rest for a few minutes.
- Heat oil and sauté onions and green chillies.
- When it’s almost done, add garlic paste and ginger paste, followed by powders.
- Sauté for a few minutes and add marinated prawns.
- Add chopped tomatoes and salt, and continue sauting till a thin layer of oil appears.
- Add half a cup of water and cook the prawns.
- When it’s done, add coconut milk and reduce the flame.
- When the curry thickens, add coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
- Serve with rice, pathiri or any main course dish of your choice.
