Pan Laddu recipe

Ingredients for Pan Laddu:

1. Betel leaf – 4, chopped fine

    Condensed milk – ½ cup

2. Ghee – 1 small spoon

3. Grated coconut – 1 cup

4. Gulkand (Rose petals preserve) – 4 or 5 small spoons

    Green food colour – Optional

How to prepare Pan Laddu?

1. Place the grated coconut in the oven and gently heat it (to absorb moisture content).

2. Make a fine paste of condensed milk and betel leaves.

3. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the grated coconut for 2 minutes on a medium flame.

4. Add betel leaf-condensed milk mixture. If needed, add green food colour also.

5. Cook in a low flame for two more minutes and turn off the flame.

6. When the mixture slightly cools, make laddus from it.

7. First, grease your hand with ghee and make small balls from the mixture.

8. Spread the ball a little bit and place a spoonful of gulkhand at the centre and completely enclose it to shape it again as a laddu.

9. As the last step, roll these laddus in grated coconut and keep them in the refrigerator.
