Okra Curry (Vendakka Curry)

Ingredients for Okra Curry (Vendakka Curry):

1. Coconut – ½, scrapped

2. Coconut oil – 4 big spoons

3. Okra cut into 1-inch pieces – 250 gm

    Tomato – 3, chopped

    Garlic – 4 cloves, chopped

    Shallots – ¼ cup

    Green chillies – 3, split into two

    Ginger – 1 small piece, cut into thin lengthy pieces

    Curry leaves – 2 stems

    Salt – For taste

4. Chilli powder – 1 big spoon

    Coriander powder – ½ big spoon

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

5. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon

6. Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Red chillies – 2, chopped

How to prepare Okra Curry (Vendakka Curry)?

1. Extract ½ cut first milk and 1 cup second milk from scrapped coconut.

2. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3, followed by ingredients no: 4.

3. Add second extract coconut milk and cook the contents.

4. When it is done, add the first extract of coconut milk.

5. Before it boils, take from flame.

6. Heat coconut oil and temper mustard and red chillies.

7. Add this oil to your okra curry and mix well.
