Pan Laddu

Ingredients for Pan Laddu:

1. Betel leaf – 4, chopped fine

    Condensed milk – ½ cup

2. Ghee – 1 small spoon

3. Scrapped coconut – 1 cup

4. Gulkand (Rose petals preserve) – 4 or 5 small spoons

    Green food colour – Optional

How to prepare Pan Laddu?

1. Place scrapped coconut in oven and gently heat it (to absorb moisture content).

2. Make a fine paste of condensed milk and betel leaves.

3. Heat ghee in a pan and fry scrapped coconut for 2 minutes in medium flame.

4. Add betel leaf-condensed milk mixture. If needed add green food colour also.

5. Cook in low flame for two more minutes and put off the flame.

6. When the mixture slightly cools, make laddus from them.

7. First grease your hand with ghee and make small balls from the mixture.

8. Spread the ball a little bit and place a spoon of gulkhand at the centre and completely enclose it to shape it again as laddu.

9. As the last step, roll these laddus in scrapped coconut and keep in refrigerator.
