Anchovy Thoran (Netholi Thoran)
Ingredients for Anchovy Thoran (Netholi Thoran):
1. Netholi (Anchovy fish) cleaned – ¼ kg
2. Coconut scrapped – 1.5 cups
Onion – 1, chopped
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Green chillies – 3, chopped
Ginger – 1 small piece, chopped
Pot tamarind – 3 cloves
Curry leaves – 1 stem
Salt – For taste
3. Water – As required
4. Coconut oil – 1.5 big spoons
How to prepare Anchovy Thoran (Netholi Thoran)?
1. Rub ingredients no: 2 and cleaned anchovy together.
2. Add sufficient water and cook fish in a pot, with closed lid.
3. When water content is fully absorbed, pour a little coconut oil on top.
4. Toss the contents and put off the flame. Serve hot.
