Koon Pattani Masala (Mushroom – Green Peas Masala)

Ingredients for Koon Pattani Masala (Mushroom – Green Peas Masala):

1. Coconut oil – 3 small soons

2. Mustard – 1 small spoon

3. Onions chopped – 50 gm

    Green chillies chopped – 2 small spoons

    Garlic chopped fine – 2 small spoons

    Ginger chopped fine – 2 small spoons

    Curry leaves – 50 gm

4. Tomatoes chopped – 30 gm

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Chilli powder – 1 small spoon

5. Mushroom cut into square pieces – 100 gm

    Green peas cooked – 100 gm

6. Coconut milk – 20 milli

    Salt – For taste

7. Fried curry leaves – To decorate

How to prepare Koon Pattani Masala?

1. Heat oil in a pan and sputter mustard seeds.

2. Add ingredients no: 3 and sauté till it turns light brown.

3. Add ingredients no: 4 and sauté for one minute.

4. Add mushroom and green peas, sauté for two minutes and add salt and half amount of coconut milk.

5. When contents are cooked, reduce the flame and add remaining coconut milk.

6. Check salt and decorate with fried curry leaves.
