Mulakooshyam recipe

Ingredients for Mulakooshyam:

1. Green gram – 50 gm

2. Elephant yam – 1 small piece

    Carrot – 2

    Pumpkin – 1 small piece

    Raw banana – 2

    Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

3. Green chilli – 1, end split

    Salt – For taste

4. Coconut – ½, grated

    Cumin seeds – ½ small spoon

5. Oil – 2 big spoons

6. Mustard – 1/2 small spoon

    Fenugreek – 1/2 small spoon

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

    Red Chillies – 1

How to prepare Mulakooshyam?

1. Cut vegetables into small pieces.

2. Cook vegetables, adding green gram and ingredients no: 3.

3. Blend the coconut and cumin seeds in a mixer. Only coarsely grind it. 

4. Add this gravy to cooked vegetables and mix well.

5. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 6.

6. Pour this oil into the curry, mix well, and turn the flame off.
