Moringa Leaves – Papaya Erisseri recipe

Ingredients for Moringa Leaves – Papaya Erisseri (Muringa Ila – Papaya Erisseri):

1. Moringa leaves – 4 cups

2. Papaya cut into small pieces – 2 cups

3. Salt – For taste

    Sambar dal cooked – ¼ cup

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    For gravy:

4. Coconut grated – 1 cup

    Red chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Garlic – 10 cloves

    For tempering:

5. Oil – 1 big spoon

6. Coconut grated – 1 big spoon

7. Mustard and black gram – ¼ small spoon each

8. Red chilli – 1

How to prepare Moringa Leaves – Papaya Erisseri (Muringa Ila – Papaya Erisseri)?

1. Cook moringa leaves, dal and papaya in a pressure cooker, adding turmeric powder, salt and water.

2. Blend once ingredients no: 4 in a mixer and add to the cooked mixture.

3. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the grated coconut. Keep it aside.

4. In the remaining oil, add mustard, black gram and red chilli.

5. Fry it and add to the curry.

6. Decorate the curry with fried coconut.
