Makhani Dal

Ingredients for Makhani Dal:

1. Rajma (Kidney beans) – 1 cup

2. Oil – 2 big spoons

    Butter – 100 gms

3. Ginger chopped – 2 small spoons

    Garlic chopped – 12 cloves

    Onions – 2 small, chopped

4. Green chillies – 4, split lengthwise

    Tomato – 4 small, cut into pieces

5. Garam masala powder – 2 small spoons

    Red chilli powder – 2 small spoons

6. Salt – As required

How to prepare Makhani Dal?

1. Soak rajma for 12 long hours.

2. Cook rajma in pressure cooker adding 6 cups of water.

3. Mix oil and ghee together, heat it and sauté ingredients listed as 3.

4. When onions are sauted well, add ingredients no: 4 and sauté again.

5. Add ingredients no: 5, along with cooked rajma and salt and boil well.

6. Serve hot with Roti.
