Chicken Leg Dry Masala recipe

Ingredients for Kozhikaal Masala Varuval (Chicken Leg Dry Masala):

  1. Chicken leg – 7
  2. Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 big spoon
    Lemon juice – 1 big spoon
    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon
    Salt – As required
    Ginger-garlic paste – 1 big spoon
  3. Shallots – 10
    Red chillies – 5
    Coriander leaves chopped – 1 small spoon
    Ginger-garlic paste – 1 big spoon
    Tomato – 1
  4. Coconut oil – As needed
  5. Onion – 1, chopped
    Salt – As needed
  6. Garam masala powder – ¼ small spoon
  7. Coriander leaves – To decorate

How to prepare Kozhikaal Masala Varuval (Chicken Leg Dry Masala)?

  1. Clean chicken legs and marinate using ingredients no: 2.
  2. Keep them in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  3. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 3.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken leg pieces.
  5. In the remaining oil, sauté the gravy, followed by onions and salt.
  6. Finally, add fried chicken and garam masala powder and blend well.
  7. Cook until the gravy turns thick and fully covers the chicken pieces.
  8. Decorate with coriander leaves and serve.
