Gooseberry Pickle recipe

Ingredients for Gooseberry Pickle (Nellika Achar):

1. Oil – 4 small spoons

2. Gooseberry – 1 kg, cut into pieces

3. Salt – For taste

4. Ginger – 2 pieces, crushed

    Garlic – 2 full, crushed

5. Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Curry leaves – As needed

6. Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Asafoetida powder – 1 small spoon

    Fenugreek powder – 1 small spoon

7. Sugar – 1 small spoon

How to prepare Gooseberry Pickle (Nellika Achar)?

1. Heat 2 small spoons of oil in a pan.

2. Sauté chopped gooseberries and add salt, and take them from the flame.

3. In the remaining oil, sauté ingredients no: 4 and sputter mustard seeds.

4. Add curry leaves and turn off the flame.

5. Add ingredients no: 6 and mix well. The raw smell should go out.

6. Add gooseberry to it and sprinkle sugar.

7. Allow your pickle to cool off completely and then store it in airtight containers.
