Fruit Crumble recipe

Ingredients for Fruit Crumble:

  1. Apple, after skin removed and cut into pieces – 200 gm
  2. Pineapple pieces – 200 gm
  3. Banana big (Ethakka/Nenthrapazham)– 200 gm
  4. Orange after removing seeds and skin – 200 gm
  5. Lemon juice – of ½ lemon
  6. Sugar – 100 gm
  7. Raisins without seeds – 50 gm
  8. Lemon skin scraped – ½
  9. Vanilla essence – ½ small spoon
  10. Butter – 100 gm
  11. Cinnamon powder – 1 small spoon

How to prepare Fruit Crumble?

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Apply a little butter or oil to the baking dish.
  3. Mix butter, maida and 50 gm sugar in a dish using your finger tips, and prepare toppings.
  4. Apply lemon juice to the apple pieces to avoid colour change.
  5. Mix 50 gm sugar, raisins and scraped lemon skin with these apple pieces.
  6. If you want extra flavour for the apple, add a little more sugar, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
  7. Heat 3 big spoons of sugar in a pan and when it changes brown, add ½ cup of hot water and caramelise it.
  8. Add pineapple and banana pieces to it. Mix well and take it from the flame.
  9. Mix the apple pieces and orange, and spread them in a pudding dish along with the above sugar-fruit mixture.
  10. Spread topping on the top and bake for 45 minutes.
  11.
