Fish Masala with Coconut Milk recipe

Ingredients for Fish Masala with Coconut Milk:

1. Fish – 1/4 kg

2. Green Chillies – 5

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Fennel – 2 small spoons

    Cumin – 3 small spoons

    Ginger – 1-inch piece

    Coconut grated – 3 big spoons

    Tamarind – 1 small ball, squeezed in water

3. Oil – 4 big spoons

4. Bay leaves (Vayana Ila) – 2

    Green chillies – 4, end split

5. Sugar – ½ small spoon

    Salt – For taste

6. Thick coconut milk – 1 cup

    Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon

7. Melted butter – 1.5 small spoons

How to prepare Fish Masala with Coconut Milk?

1. Clean fish and slice into pieces.

2. Make a paste of ingredients no: 2.

3. Heat oil and sauté bay leaves and green chillies.

4. Add coconut gravy and sauté for a while.

5. When a thin layer of oil appears on the surface, add fish slices, salt and sugar.

6. If needed, add excess water and cook the fish in a low flame.

7. When it’s done, add coconut milk and garam masala powder.

8. Boil the fish curry on a low flame and add melted butter. Turn off the flame.
