Egg Tikka Masala recipe

Ingredients for Egg Tikka Masala:

  1. Boiled eggs – 3
  2. Garam masala – ½ tsp
    Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
    Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
    Garlic paste – 1 tsp
    Chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  3. Oil – As required

For Tikka Masala Sauce:

  1. Sugar – 2 tsp
    Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
    Cashew paste – 2 tablespoons
    Garlic chopped – 1 tsp
  2. Tomato purée – 500 milli
    Salt – As required
    Water – 1 cup
  3. Chilli powder – ½ tsp
    Heavy cream – 75 milli
  4. Coriander leaves chopped – 3 tablespoons

How to prepare Egg Tikka Masala?

  1. Draw lines on eggs.
  2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2 and marinate eggs using this mixture.
  3. Allow it to rest for a while.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the marinated eggs.
  5. When all the sides turn brown, transfer the eggs to a plate.
  6. Clean the pan and pour one tablespoon of oil.
  7. Add garam masala, sugar, garlic and cashew paste and sauté for one minute.
  8. Mix tomato purée with 1 cup of water and sufficient salt, and add to the sautéed contents.
  9. Allow the contents to boil well.
  10. Reduce the flame and cook for 20 minutes.
  11. When the sauce thickens, add chilli powder and cream.
  12. Add eggs and cook for three more minutes. You can also slice them if you prefer.
  13. Decorate with coriander leaves and serve hot.
