Egg Rice - Oats Chapati Roll recipe

Ingredients for Egg Rice – Oats Chapati Roll:

1. Water – 1.5 cups

2. Basmati rice – 1 cup, soaked

    Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom – 3 each

    Frozen green peas – ½ cup

3. Butter/Ghee – 3 big spoons

4. Onion – 1, chopped fine

    Garlic – 3 cloves, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 3, chopped fine

5. Cabbage, chopped fine – 5 big spoons

    Carrot, grated – ¼ cup

6. Capsicum, chopped fine – 2 big spoons

    Kashmiri chilli powder – ½ small spoon

    Salt – For taste

7. Eggs – 2, beaten

8. Oats powdered – ½ cup

    Wheat flour – ¾ cup

    Ghee/butter – 1 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

9. Lukewarm water – As needed

10. Mint-Coriander leaves chutney – As needed

How to prepare Egg Rice – Oats Chapati Roll?

1. To prepare egg rice, boil water and add rice, along with spices and frozen green peas.

2. Cook rice until it’s well-cooked, and the water content is fully absorbed.

3. Heat oil/ghee in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 4.

4. Add cabbage and carrot and sauté again.

5. Add ingredients no: 6 and sauté for 1 minute.

6. Add beaten eggs, followed by boiled rice and stir well.

7. Prepare the dough for chapati from ingredients no: 8 and lukewarm water.

8. Make small balls from it and spread them into thin chapatis. Prepare chapatis.

9. Apply a thin layer of mint-coriander leaf chutney inside each chapati.

10. Place a little egg rice as filling and roll the chapati.

11. Continue the process for the remaining chapatis.
