Dev is a Tamil film actor who plays supporting and character roles on the Tamil screen since 2014. Bilingual – Vaayai Moodi Pesavum / Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram marked his screen debut. Later he played parallel lead roles in Oru Naal Koothu (2016) and Vellai Pookal (2019), and both these roles got noticed. He was cast opposite Miya among the three female leads in Oru Naal Koothu, while he was cast as Vivek’s son and an IT engineer employed in Microsoft, US, in his most memorable role in Vellai Pookal. He is also a content producer who owns a production company, Madboys Creatives, associated with web series and ad films.

Dev’s real name is Swaminath Raamanathan, and he was born in Chennai in 1988. He holds an engineering degree from SSN College of Engineering. He started attending auditions and got his first offer after many attempts, so unexpected. He calls it luck. He played Nazriya Nazim’s love interest in his debut flick, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, and has also appeared in a couple of Tamil movies till 2019.
