Cumin Chicken recipe

Ingredients for Cumin Chicken (Jeeraka Kozhi):

  1. Chicken cut into pieces – 1, full
  2.  Turmeric powder – ¾ tsp
  3. Chilli powder – ½ tsp
  4. Ginger-garlic crushed – 1.5 tablespoons
  5. Cumin paste – 2 tablespoons
  6. Shallots – 1 cup
  7. Salt – For taste
  8. Coconut oil – 1.5 tablespoons
  9. Coconut milk (thick) – ¾ cup
  10.  Pepper powder – 2 tablespoons
  11. Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  12. Shallots chopped lengthwise – ½ cup

How to prepare Cumin Chicken (Jeeraka Kozhi)?

  1. Marinate chicken pieces using ingredients 2-5.
  2. In a cooker or non-stick pan, pour oil and sauté shallots.
  3. Add chicken along with salt, close the lid, and cook.
  4. When the chicken is well-cooked, add coconut milk and pepper powder.
  5. Turn off the flame.
