Chutney Powder - Chammanthi Podi recipe

Ingredients for Chutney Powder (Chammanthi Podi):

  1. Oil – 1 small spoon
  2. Bengal gram dal (Kadala Parippu) – 4 small spoons
  3. Black gram dal – 2 small spoons
  4. Parboiled rice (Puzhungalari) – 2 small spoons
  5. Sesame seeds – 2 small spoons
  6. Asafoetida – 1 small piece
  7. Red chillies – 25 gm
  8. Salt – For taste

How to prepare Chutney Powder (Chammanthi Podi)?

  1. Heat oil and sauté ingredients 2-7 one after another.
  2. Allow the contents to cool and make a fine powder.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together, add salt, and store in air-tight containers.
  4. This chutney tastes best with dosa and idli.
