Ingredients for Chutney Powder (Chammanthi Podi):
- Oil – 1 small spoon
- Bengal gram dal (Kadala Parippu) – 4 small spoons
- Black gram dal – 2 small spoons
- Parboiled rice (Puzhungalari) – 2 small spoons
- Sesame seeds – 2 small spoons
- Asafoetida – 1 small piece
- Red chillies – 25 gm
- Salt – For taste
How to prepare Chutney Powder (Chammanthi Podi)?
- Heat oil and sauté ingredients 2-7 one after another.
- Allow the contents to cool and make a fine powder.
- Mix all the ingredients together, add salt, and store in air-tight containers.
- This chutney tastes best with dosa and idli.
