Chicken Curry Dosa (Irachi Dosa)

Ingredients for Chicken Curry Dosa (Irachi Dosa):

1. Raw rice – 3 cups

2. Black gram – ¾ cup

3. Chicken/beef – ½ cup

    Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – As needed

4. Oil – As needed

5. Onion – 1 big, chopped fine

6. Ginger crushed – ½ small spoon

    Garlic crushed – ½ small spoon

    Tomato – 1, sliced thin

7. Chilli powder – ¼ small spoon

    Coriander powder – ¼ small spoon

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

    Garam masala powder – ¼ small spoon

    Pepper powder – ¼ small spoon

8. Coriander leaves chopped – 2 small spoon

9. Cashews – 50 gm

    Coconut scrapped – ½ cup

10. Egg – 1

11. Salt – For taste

How to prepare Chicken Curry Dosa (Irachi Dosa)?

1. Soak rice and black gram for a few hours and grind to a fine paste.

2. Allow the batter to ferment overnight.

3. Cook chicken/beef adding turmeric powder and salt.

4. Remove bone from cooked meat and keep aside the chicken/beef stock.

5. Soak cashews in a little water.

6. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions.

7. Add ginger and garlic and sauté again followed by tomato pieces.

8. Keep sauting till oil separates and then add the curry powders.

9. When the powders are well fried, add chicken/beef and mix it well.

10. Add coriander leaves and take off from flame.

11. Make a fine paste of soaked cashews and coconut, and add an egg to it.

12. Add chicken/beef stock to it and mix well using a spoon.

13. Add extra salt if needed and keep aside.

14. Add salt to dosa batter and prepare thin dosas.

15. Pour a little coconut paste-egg mixture on its top and spread as a thin layer.

16. Sprinkle a little meat mixture on its top and fold dosa in a triangle shape.

17. Sprinkle ghee on both sides and cook it well.

18. When one side is done, flip the other side and fry it well.
