Carrot Halwa

Ingredients for Carrot Halwa:

1. Carrot – 2 big, grated

2. Ghee – 2 big spoons

3. Cardamom – 2

4. Boiled milk – 1 litre

5. Sugar – 5 big spoons

6. Condensed milk – 3 big spoons

7. Cashews and raisins – 50 gm

    Ghee – For frying

How to prepare Carrot Halwa?

1. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté cardamoms.

2. Add grated carrot to it and sauté again.

3. Add milk and cook carrot.

4. Add sugar and condensed milk and stir continuously.

5. Continue stirring till halwa turns dry and separates from its edges. Put the flame off.

6. Fry cashews and raisins in a little ghee and add to your carrot halwa. You can sprinkle a few on its top as well.

7. Allow the halwa to cool.

8. Place your halwa in refrigerator to set.

9. Once set, cut it to desired shapes and serve.

10. You can also serve it without placing in refrigerator.

Carrot Halwa (Recipe 2)

Ingredients for Carrot Halwa (Recipe 2):

1. Carrot grated – 4

2. Sugar – 8 tablespoons

3. Milk – 5 tablespoons

4. Almonds chopped – 2 tsp

5. Cardamom powder – A pinch

    Ghee – 2 tablespoons

How to prepare Carrot Halwa (Recipe 2)?

1. Steam the carrot for 3 minutes.

2. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté carrot.

3. Add sugar and sauté for 3 more minutes.

4. Add milk and keep stirring till halwa thickens.

5. Add almonds, followed by cardamom and ghee.

6. Mix well and put off the flame. Halwa should turn thick.

Carrot Halwa (Recipe 3)

Ingredients for Carrot Halwa (Recipe 3):

1. Milk – 1.5 litres

    Green cardamom – 8

    Carrot – 1 kg, grated

2. Ghee – 5 to 7 big spoons

3. Sugar – 5 to 7 big spoons

4. Raisins – 2 big spoons

    Almonds chopped – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Carrot Halwa (Recipe 3)?

1. Cook ingredients no: 1 in a thick bottomed pan.

2. Continue cooking till water content is fully absorbed.

3. Heat ghee in another pan.

4. Cook carrot mixture in this pan in low flame for 10-15 minutes.

5. Add sugar to it and keep stirring.

6. When your carrot halwa turns reddish, add nuts and put off the flame.
