Bharathan – Tamil Film Director & Dialogue writer known for punch dialogues

Bharathan, nicknamed as Punch Bharathan is a film director and dialogue writer associated with Tamil cinema. He has written punch dialogues for some of the mass entertainer movies of Vikram and Vijay since early 2000s. He is the director of Vijay starrer Bairavaa and dialogue writer of hit action films like Dhill, Dhool, Ghilli, Veeram etc. Azhagiya Tamil Magan starring Vijay and Athithi starring Nikesh Ram are his other directorial ventures. His punch dialogues played an important role in establishing the careers of Vikram and Vijay.

Bharathan is associated with Tamil cinema since early 2000s. As a dialogue writer, he marked his debut with Dhill in 2001. After making an impressive debut, he went on to write powerful and punch dialogues for lead heroes, and he tasted success almost every time. Dhill and Dhool for Vikram and Ghilli for Vijay are his early works. As a director, he started off with Azhagiya Tamil Magan in 2007 with Vijay playing dual roles. The film fared only average at box office. Madhurey, Osthe and Veeram etc are his other works as a dialogue writer.

1. His dialogues for Dhill and Dhool played an important role in switching Vikram’s soft and sympathetic lover image to an action hero.

2. His punch dialogues also helped Vijay’s career a lot.

3. He directed Vijay’s 60th film, Bairavaa.
