Puttu Upmaavu (Steamcake Upma)
Ingredients for Puttu Upmaavu (Steamcake Upma):
1. Oil – 1 big spoon
2. Mustard – Half small spoon
Red chillies – 2, broken
Urud dal – Half small spoon
3. Onion – 1 small, cut into square pieces
Curry leaves – 2 stem
4. Leftover steam cake – Two cups
5. Salt – As needed
6. Water – 5 big spoons
How to prepare Puttu Upmaavu (Steamcake Upma)?
1. Heat oil in a pan and fry ingredients 2.
2. Add onions and curry leaves and saute until raw smell goes out.
3. Smash steam cake and add to it.
4. Sprinkle some water and stir the contents well.
5. Add sufficient salt and allow to cook for a few more minutes.
6. Put off the flame.
7. You can serve it with scrambled eggs, chicken or any vegetable curry of your choice.
