Mackerel – Mango curry (Ayala Maanga Curry)

 

Ingredients for Mackerel – Mango curry:

  1. Mackerel – 2 (medium sized)
  2. Green mango – 1
  3. Green chillies – 4
  4. Coconut – ½ cup
  5. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  6. Chilli powder – 1 table spoon
  7. Ginger – 1 piece
  8. Shallots – 4
  9. Curry leaves – 2 stems
  10. Salt – as needed
  11. Water – as needed

How to prepare Mackerel-Mango curry?

  1. Clean the fish and make it to three pieces each.
  2. Make a fine paste of ingredients 4 to 8.
  3. Cut mango to small pieces.
  4. Add mango pieces, coconut paste, curry leaves and green chillies to fish pieces along with sufficient water and salt and cook in an earthen pot.
