Sardine/Mackerel Stuffed (Mathi/Ayala Stuff Cheyythath)
Ingredients for Sardine/Mackerel Stuffed (Mathi/Ayala Stuff Cheyythath):
1. Sardine/Mackerel cleaned – 10
2. Shallots chopped – ¾ cup
Garlic – 10 cloves
Green chillies – 2
Pepper powder – ½ small spoon
Tamarind – As required
Salt – For taste
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Ginger – A little
Red chillies after removing seeds – A little
3. Coconut oil – As needed
How to prepare Sardine/Mackerel Stuffed (Mathi/Ayala Stuff Cheyythath)?
1. Clean the fish and make deep cuts on its body. Never cut fish into parts.
2. Mix ingredients no: 2 and crush it well.
3. Sauté ingredients in hot oil till ingredients are well cooked.
4. Stuff fish using this masala.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry stuffed fish.
6. Serve hot.
