Thaman Kumar – Tamil lead actor of ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai’ fame

Thaman Kumar is a film hero from Tamil cinema who joined film industry in 2012. Aachariyangal was his debut film, followed by his breakthrough role in Sattam Oru Iruttarai same year. Summa Nachunu Irukku, Thottal Thodarum, Sethu Boomi, Puyala Kelambi Varom, 6 Athiyayam and Nethraa are his films released later.

Thaman Kumar hails from Chennai. He was initially signed for one movie titled London Maappillai in 2011, but the movie was never finished. Next year he played lead role in two critically acclaimed movies – Aachariyangal and Sattam Oru Iruttarai. Though his acting talents received rave reviews from critics, as he was an unknown actor and due to lack of promotions, both the films failed at box office. Yet it helped him to bag more roles from Tamil film industry, mostly protagonist roles.
