Sree Krishna Temple Neyyattinkara is regarded as ‘Guruvayur of  South Kerala / Thiruvananthapuram District’. It lies on NH-47 Neyyattinkara, on Thiruvananthapuram-Nagercoil route. The temple is indeed famous for Ammachi Plavu, the big jackfruit tree which protected King Marthanda Varma of Travancore from Ettuveettu Pillamaar.
