Sana Saeed – Bollywood actress of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ & ‘Student Of The Year’ fame

Sana Saeed is a film actress who has appeared as both child artist and adult actress in Bollywood films. She played the memorable 8-year old daughter of Shah Rukh Khan in 1998 blockbuster, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and also played second lead in Student of the Year, co-produced by SRK. Interestingly she was seen in two more Rani Mukerji films – Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) and Badal (2000) as a child artist, apart from a few TV shows like Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na and Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki, both in 2008.

Sana Saeed was born in Mumbai in 1988. As a child artist she got her first break through Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and it made her a little star. She appeared in a few more films and a couple of shows before she disappeared from spotlight. In 2012 she returned to silver screen through Student Of The Year and surprised audience in her new glamorous avatar. She was later seen in an item song in 2014 movie, Fugly before she vanished once again. Same year she also appeared in a short film titled Caught in the Web.

Sana Saeed – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. Sana played child artist in three Bollywood films, and all these films had Rani Mukerji playing the lead role.

2. Karan Johar directed both her debut and most successful films – Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as a child artist and Student of the Year as a young actress.

3. Karan Johar’s Student of the Year marked the screen debut of Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Sana Saeed. While the rest three actors went on make a mark in Bollywood, the role with grey shades couldn’t revive the career of Sana.

4. She has been a part of reality shows on television such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.

5. She is an excellent dancer.

6. Among all the roles she played on big and small screen, her role as young Anjali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is most memorable. She won hearts playing a child which unites two lonely lovers who got separated because of destiny. 

7. The actress was among the finalists in stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.

8. She did a filmmaking course in US for which she took a break from the film industry. 

9. Before her film debut through KKHH, she was offered a role in Rahul Gupta’s Hum Panchi Ek Daal Ke. She didn’t accept the role because she wanted to study. She did KKHH during her school vacation.

10. She was 9 years old when she played 8-year old Anjali Khanna in KKHH.
