Saffron Milk Cake recipe

Ingredients for Saffron Milk Cake:

1. Vanilla cake – ½ kg

2. Milk – 1 litre

    Evaporated milk – 280 milli

    Sugar – ½-3/4 cup

3. Saffron – ½ small spoon crushed

For topping:

4. Whipping cream – 2 cups

How to prepare Saffron Milk Cake?

1. Place Vanilla cake in a plate or dish.

2. Transfer the contents listed as 2 into a thick-bottomed pan and cook for 15 minutes on a low flame.

3. Soak saffron in ½ spoon hot water till its colour descends in the water.

4. Beat whipping cream and add a little saffron water to it.

5. Add the remaining saffron water to the milk mixture.

6. Spread whipping cream on the top of the cake and cut into slices for serving.

7. Transfer each slide to a serving plate and pour milk mixture on its top.

Note: Evaporated milk is an unsweetened condensed milk. You can boil milk at home till it thickens and use it as a substitute for evaporated milk for this quick dessert.
